This is not the kind of dish that you elegantly plate up and serve to seated guests. It’s the kind that you eat standing up, crowded around the grill, so you can get them nice and hot. Beer in one hand, oyster in the other: slurp, sip, repeat.

A great man once said: "Crab cakes and Football... that’s what Maryland does!" So just go ahead trust us with this recipe. Bready fillers, frou frou herbs, and especially bell peppers have NO place in a Maryland crab cake. (Not to start an East Coast/ West Coast debate here, but we know where the bell pepper people live...)

Summer watermelon is amazing on it's own, but when you get tired of wedges, this twist is really cool! We added blueberries, mint, and our Raz Vin, it's pretty patriotic.
