Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
Hold on. Did you read the name of this recipe? Ok... so why are you still reading? Just make it!
What you need
1 bunch, thick asparagus spears
3 tablespoons Tessemae’s Balsamic
16 strips bacon, center cut and thin sliced
What to do
Heat your oven to 400. Trim the ends off of the asparagus. Toss the asparagus with 2 tablespoons Balsamic. Wrap each spear with a strip of bacon, starting at the bottom and leaving the tip peaking out. (You may need more bacon or have leftover, depending on the thickness of your asparagus and how many were in the bunch.)
Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Arrange the wrapped asparagus on the sheet and roast until the bacon is brown and rendered, about 20 minutes.
Serve, drizzled with more Balsamic.
Tip: Look for thick asparagus and thin bacon for this recipe. If the asparagus is too thin, it will overcook before the bacon is browned. If the bacon is too thick, the same thing will happen.
