Chocolate Sea Salt Bacon
It's bacon. Covered in chocolate. Not much more we need to say about this one...
Makes: about 24
What you need:
1 pound sliced thick cut bacon, cooked crisp and cooled, cut in half crosswise
3 (4-ounce) bars bittersweet chocolate, chopped
Maldon Sea Salt
chopped pistachios, optional
What to Do
- Melt the chocolate in a bowl set over a pot of simmering water. Whisk until completely smooth. Remove them from the heat.
- Dip the bacon into the melted chocolate, leaving an inch or so uncoated. Let excess drip off and lay on a parchment lined baking sheet. Repeat with all the bacon slices.
- Sprinkle the slices with sea salt, pistachios, or both. Let cool to room temperature before serving so the chocolate hardens, about an hour.
