Caesar Slaw Salmon Burger

Can a burger really be healthy? You bet! Especially when a burger is made with quality, wholesome ingredients. However, where some burgers see the sugar and sodium content climb is in the condiments. Today’s recipe for Caesar Slaw Salmon Burgers is packed with fiber, protein, antioxidants and so many vitamins and minerals your cells will be celebrating! This recipe also includes only the best of the best for dressing and condiments, in fact two different Tessemae’s products! From caesar dressing to mayo, these Tessemae’s products are made with ingredients you can recognize and so much flavor! This burger is also incredibly easy to alter to meet various dietary needs, such as swapping out the bun for a paleo tortilla or leafy green salad.

Meal prepping is a great way to help you eat nourishing, balanced meals throughout the busy work week. These salmon burgers can be made on the weekend and last 3-4 days in the fridge! You can prep and save them raw and cook when ready to heat and eat, or cook and store in the fridge in an air-tight container for a quick lunch that’s ready to go! You can also freeze these salmon burgers and they are best enjoyed within 2-3 months.
Salmon Burger Ingredients
1 egg¾ lb grilled wild salmon, shredded
¼ cup Tessemae’s Organic Mayonnaise
⅓ cup ground flax seeds
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons Honey Mustard
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
Caesar Slaw Ingredients
2 cups shredded cabbage
⅓ cup Tessemae’s Organic Creamy Caesar Dressing
Burger Buns of choice
Directions
1 In a large mixing bowl, add the egg and whisk. Next, shred the grilled salmon and add to the bowl with the mayonnaise, flax seeds, onion and garlic powder, lemon juice, mustard, olive oil and parsley. Then stir all ingredients together. Next, in a large saute pan, warm extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) and fry salmon patties for 3-5 minutes on each side.2 Then in a new bowl, add thinly sliced or shredded cabbage with Tessemae’s Organic Creamy Caesar Dressing.
3 Build burger with Honey Mustard spread on the bun, next the salmon patty and a generous helping of caesar slaw. Add your top bun and enjoy!
