Sweet & Spicy BBQ Tailgate Wings
The only question you should have to ask yourself on game day: grilled or baked wings? We love both! These wings are roasted in the oven first, then finished on the grill with BBQ sauce at game time. This way, you can enjoy the party instead of hovering over the grill! P.S. We 3 amazing, clean BBQ sauces for you to choose from! Sweet & Spicy, Chocolate BBQ and Honey BBQ.Â
Makes 4 servings
WHAT YOU NEED
12 whole chicken wings, cut into drumettes and flats
Coarse salt and ground black pepper
½ cup Diggy’s Sweet & Spicy BBQ (Or your fave Tessemae’s BBQ!)
Tessemae’s Avocado Ranch, for serving
veggie sticks, for serving
Â
WHAT YOU DO
- Heat oven to 375. Arrange wings on large rimmed baking sheets. Pat dry with paper towels and then season generously with salt and pepper.
- Roast until browned and cooked through, about 1 hour. Remove from the oven and let cool. To cook right now, move to step 3. To pack up for a tailgate, pack the wings and refrigerate up to 1 day.
- Heat your grill to medium. Toss the wings with 1/2 cup Diggy’s BBQ. Place the wings on the grill and cook, turning occasionally, until crisp outside and warmed through, about 5 minutes.
- Serve hot, with the Avocado Ranch and veggie sticks.
