Makes: 6 burgers
2 pounds ground dark meat turkey (93/7)
¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons Tessemae’s x Jerry Garcia Cosmic Jerry Sauce
Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
¼ cup Tessemae's Mayonnaise
2 avocados, halved, pitted and sliced
2 cups baby greens
6 burger buns, for serving
- Heat your grill or grill pan to medium-high. Mix the turkey with ¼ cup Cosmic Jerry Sauce. Divide the turkey into 6 equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into a thin, flat patty (ensuring to not make hockey pucks that will swell up to baseballs during cooking!). Keep them an even thickness from the center to the edge. Season all over, generously, with salt and pepper.
- Oil the grill and cook the patties until cooked through, about 5 minutes a side. Do not flip them if they are sticking, cook a little longer on the first side until they un-stick, then cook a little less on the second side.
- While the burgers cook, stir together ¼ cup Mayo and 2 tablespoons Cosmic Jerry Sauce. Serve the burgers on buns with avocado, greens and more sauce.
