Crab, Mango & Avocado "Tacos"
We'd like to thank the Academy for this super-easy, guaranteed to dazzle Oscars party appetizer! If everybody gets to look their best on Oscar night, so should our snacks:) We even used jicama (a crunchy tuber that's mildly sweet) as the "tortilla" here, so they're even better for you.
Makes 4 servings
What you need
1 pound lump crabmeat
2 limes, juiced
1 mango, peeled and chopped
1 ripe avocado, pitted and chopped
½ small red onion, finely chopped
¼ cup Tessemae’s Green Goddess
coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 small jicama, peeled and sliced paper thin using a mandolin
What you do
- In a medium-sized bowl, very gently toss together crab, lime juice, mango, avocado, red onion, and Green Goddess. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Make tacos using the jicama slices as tortillas (overlapping as necessary) and serve immediately.
